Saying up later - Making the sacrifice

I have decided that I need to milk my day for all it is worth. I know I do well on 6 hours of sleep. It is time to streamline my schedule. Starting tonight Midnight is bedtime and 6am is wake time. There is so much reading, writing and study I want to do. It is time to count the cost and make the sacrifice.

So my question is, what is your remedy for pulling long hours? Mountain Dew, Red Bull, NoDoz, Triple Shot Espresso… I am open to suggestions.

  1. I drink Mt. Dew if I eventually want to be able to go to sleep. Red Bull is next followed by Monster Energy. Espresso… and I’ll be up well into the next day.

    I’ll do Mt. Dew/Dr. Pepper or Red Bull if its just trying to stay up at night. Monster is the drink for waking up in the morning ;). I am a semi-insomniac though so midnight is my early bedtime.

  3. Dude. You have no idea how good you have it.

    It takes me 1-2 hours to fall asleep each night. When I go down, I wake up at least one time an hour, in which I usually go back to sleep in 5-10 minutes.

    So, I’ve got no problem staying up late.

    I can say that I’m most creative and productive from about midnight until 3AM. I don’t understand why, but I hit a high late a night unlike I can during the day.
