Geert Wilders and Islam

Last night I watched Geert Wilders’ documentary on Islam. If you are not familiar with this guy he is an outspoken politician in the Netherlands and is anti Islam and anti Koran. Check out information on Wikipedia. His documentary is so controversial that Network Solutions has pulled the domain and is investigating the content. The film “Fitna” is all over YouTube. There is graphic content but it fits the documentary well.

Wilders is a radical. What he has to say is worth hearing, but I disagree with his approach. For me on a personal note… it makes me question my passion ans sincerity for my faith and for my savior. Unfortunately, Christianity has turned itself into an “enterprise” more so than a way of life or a life changing belief. It is no wonder the “world” mocks the current Christian lifestyle or Belief structure. It is sometimes very hard to get past the WWJD junk and the fish symbols on the car (as you flip someone off in traffic) and cliche’ and cheesy nonsense that floods the Christian subculture.

The thing I see with Islam is that (right or wrong) they have put action behind their faith. They are actively involved in spreading the “gospel” of Muhammad to the world through community action, mosque planting, and education.

Still processing… would be a great discussion.
