First Day

So I guess I put in about 13 hours today. This is my first day at the new job. Meetings, paperwork… lost paperwork… more paperwork. New PC… email issues, inspections tomorrow. Cleaned filthy office. Software Update on server, KVM switch busted… No breakfast, no lunch, no water… ONE Mountain Dew ALL Day!!! Threw away boxes for my dual 22″ monitors… New badges, revoked badges, class next week.

Dear God… This is not want I want to do with the rest of my life. I want to take my kids to school, get to know the baristas at Starbucks… Work on audio, video, music, worship programming, art, tattoos, Spend a month with Carlos at Buckhead Church to learn everything they do with production. Spend more time with my wife and kids cuddling, hanging out at bookstores, and Starbucks. I want to write more, pray more, read more. I want to learn how other A29 churches are reaching their city and apply those things to Sojourn and Huntsville.

I’m tired… I feel like a whiner.
