We had an outstanding service tonight. Rod and I played 6 songs. Worship was spot on. It was really night to be able to play a set like that.
David has some really great things to say out of John 11 tonight. Using the example of Lazarus death and ‘resurrection’. What is God challenging my faith with… to step out and do… That others might say, “Lord, he stinks’… We some times look at the evil or trouble that is in our world/locally. Sometimes we ask God when he going to send someone to fix it or do something about it. Who will help the homeless, the down and out, the crack whore? Who will give hope to those in despair. God sent Jesus into the world and he sent the church. Look around our city and see the needs of people. God has called us to the city. The needs we see are there for us to fix. Look inside our tribe and see what the needs are and meet them.
Sometimes I have so little faith. Perhaps I need to trust God and step out. Honestly become the hands and feet of Jesus.
