New Friends, Good Breakfast, and Full Spirit
Since the current upheaval with my job contract I decided to take a few days off… burn some vacation. I have a couple of options that might work out. I was called about System Admin job for a UNIX/LINUX shop. That’s great… problem is I don’t know much about ether one. Maybe they will let me learn. Anyway, I get to interview on Monday. I guess it is worth a shot.
I had a great breakfast hanging out with my new friends Andy and Brian. Andy is the lead pastor of Hope Church in Madison. Brian is the youth pastor. Great guys. I am looking forward to handing out with them more. Philip, Eric A. and I met them at “Country Vittles” for a crazy good breakfast and to discuss their website and how they could make it better. Philip is leading the project and Eric A. and I are merely consulting. Because of our current work load to would be crazy to take on any more dev work.
After talking with these guys about web, life, and ministry I got very excited about ministry. I love it when the Spirit explodes in my life and gets me fired up about the things of God. This really gives me new motivation and drive to be in ‘full time’ ministry. I love being around people who are completely given over to walking with God and committed to his mission. It is guys like this that I need to be around all the time. Being around people who build you up, edify and encourage. I love it!!!
Journey Group - Madison has been an amazing time. Cindy brought out several good points about discipleship from the end of John chapter one. It is a great conversation about life and the gospel. It is amazing how relevant and practical the bible is for daily living. It looks like I will have an extra week to prepare for my lesson in John chapter 2. Many incredible doctrinal teachings that can come out of the Wedding Feast at Cana. I am really looking forward too it.
Since I am off for a few days I am going to try and get my blog back up to par. I need to get my links back up and get some things tweaked.
Father… I ask for you to prepare me for full time ministry. Open a ‘door of utterance’ that I could walk through and that the gospel would manifest in my life. I am surrendered to your plan. Establish my path… keep me focused on you.
